I've been drooling over Lindsey Thornburg's Fall 2010 collection all morning. She started her line while traveling through Peru and being inspired by all of the native South American garb.
Aboubakar Fofana at Design Africa is keeping the traditional process of Indigo Vat dyeing in Mali alive by weaving his own organic cottons into scarves and home design. Fofana's work is available at Amaridian on Howard and Crosby street. I highly recommend checking it out, truly inspiring one of a kind pieces.

We explored the world of pickling while eating peanut butter stuffed pretzels and comparing dirty feet. We pickled beets, cabbage, cucumber, asparagus and garlic and supposedly we have to wait for 2 weeks?! Rumor has it that some nights include homemade tattoos from Nurit!

I'm BURNED from the weekends festivities and may need to play it cool and duck into one of these...
I've been too busy with summer right around the corner to focus on anything for longer than 2 seconds... BUT Johnny's Bird caught my eye. I don't know much but will investigate more. I hear she likes smoking a lot, drinking a ton and talking a bunch.
