Mad Men
I can't wait for Mad Men to start up again. For now these illustrations almost suffice!

Grace and Kenyan!
This is my last Selby post...I promise!
While perusing the site, I realized that I missed the Upstate New York post(!) I spent last weekend in the Adirondacks camping, hiking, canoeing and cooking delicious meals over the campfire (queso locos, penne a la vodka and pancakes). Now that I'm back, my hand eye coordination is totally off and I can't taste anything. I am pretty sure I left my head up in the mountains.
It seems like Grace and Kenyen have the ultimate upstate life.
Pan fried Polenta with Fresh Tomato Bean Salsa!
My "herb garden" has not turned it's back on me yet! My fresh basil will do this recipe and the taste buds some good.

TheSelby
The Selby is my kind of porn. Beautiful homes with creative, stylish people making pretty little messes throughout.
Last fall a group of us attended the Diesel Circus party and were lucky enough to sneak backstage. Low and behold was Helena Christensen (!) Ever since this star sighting I've been a Helena stalker. This month Todd Selby photographed her NYC home for Paris Vogue!

Do you know what this is?
It's an antique Vampire Slaying Kit from the early 1900's.
If I won the lottery then this would be mine!

Robertas!
Great service, friendly atmosphere, DELICIOUS PIZZA, big hit!
Roberta's serves heaping glasses of wine in jelly jars and bubbley, gooey pizza with an assortment of toppings (we chose double garlic, jalapeno and mushroom). I can't wait to go back for a second, third and fourth time... Next time I'd like to be a little more adventurous and try the bone marrow or some other type of unique game.

Kombucha!
Last Friday I was wondering the rainy streets of BK and took shelter in the cutest boutique ever called Malin Landaeuse. I not only bought the worlds most perfect denim one piece, but I developed a new life crush on the owner, Malin. We got to talking about her baked vegan treats she makes each Friday and somehow it turned into a rousing conversation about making Kombucha. She pulled open this clothes covered wall and gave me a Kombucha mushroom to make my own. I made the starter and now I have to wait...can't wait!
